What are Kits:
Kits, also known as BoMs (Bill of Materials), are components purchased individually from your suppliers that are then assembled by you before they become saleable. For example, if you order individual t-shirts from your supplier, but sell them as 3 packs, you would enter this item in Inventory Optimizer as a kit. This also applies to sets sold with multiple types of items, such as selling a pair of pants and t-shirt as a set.
How to Upload Kits:
If you have completed onboarding, navigate to Manage Company > Advanced > Edit Kits. Kits are uploaded by selecting the green "Add New" button and entering in kit and component information or by uploading a .csv file under "Bulk Management". Download the template, fill in your kit information, and then upload the data.
If you are currently going through the onboarding steps, kits will be entered after the items list when onboarding your company through .csv or Amazon integration. Be sure to upload the parent SKU that you sell, as well as the components you purchase from your supplier, to the items section first or you will be unable to link the kit to them.
You need to enter the "Parent Name" (the SKU you are selling), "Component Name" (name of individual products in the kit), and "Kit Qty" (number of each component in one kit).
It will look like this, displaying the parent name in bold:

Deleting and Editing Kits
To delete a kit relationship, select the box next to the bolded kit SKU and then select the red "Delete Kit(s)" button at the top right of the grid.
To delete a component SKU from a current kit, select the box next to the component SKU under the specific kit you would like to edit and then select the red "Delete Kit(s)" button at the top right of the grid.
To add a new kit, or a new component to a current kit, select the green "Add New" button and enter the information for the kit and component. If the kit already exists, the component will be added to it.
To change the Kit Qty (units per assembly), simply double-click on it and enter the quantity you wish to update.
